I can not believe that it is groundbreaking time for the new Spoons Café. It was suggested to me, thank you Kate, that I needed to blog this exciting and sometimes nervous time. For those of you that are new to the Spoons family, I refer to them as Spoonies; a brief history about us is on Spoons' Official Web Site and can get you up to date.
The kitchen plan is finalized, and construction is set to start the week of June 4th. We will be in our new location in August and will be keeping the same format but adding dinner probably on just Friday and Saturday night to start. We will be doing beer and wine. I am very interested in what you would like to see added to the menu and suggestions because without the wonderful support of my loyal customers Spoons would have never survived and I would have maybe never discovered that this is my passion. Thank you. I am so grateful. Stay tuned to watch our restaurant be built, and leave a comment (or two or three) if ya like!

I can't wait to see the new place, and of course order my favorite...the Grown Up Grilled Cheese!

I am sooooo excited to see you new place coming along. I will just be happy to get in at lunch time to get my favorite (spoons chicken salad sandwich). The resturant is
usually so busy there is no place to sit so
I welcome the extended dinning room. We love
your breakfast buffet also. Keep up the good work. Spoons is a welcome site to downtown McKinney.

I am a new spoonie:):)..We had family in
last week and I decided to take my sister
and her daughter downtown for breakfast..
What a delightful time we had..Food and
atmosphere was great..I was brought up in
a small town..Felt like home..I can't wait
for the new location to open..I love the
idea of spending money in Mckinney, instead
of the other areas..Love the fact the people
are willing to keep a bit of history going.
Thanks for caring..Keep up the good work..
